SHARE . . .

• provides emergency short-term assistance to the needy in Milford, Amherst, Brookline and Mont Vernon.
• since 1979 has provided food, clothing and financial assistance to thousands of families and thousands of individuals
• is non-discriminatory
• focuses on meeting the needs of each individual situation
• protects the dignity and confidentiality of those seeking help
• collaborates with other local, state and federal social service organizations to avoid duplicition of assistance
• is truly "the last hope for some", when assistance from other sources are not available or are insufficient
• is managed totally by volunteers

100% of every dollar donated goes to the area needy.

All administrative costs, including office, Food Pantry and Clothing Barn space, utilities and office supplies are paid by St. Patrick Church and other local organizations.

In 1996 Share provided . . . .

financial assistance
in the amount of $108,000 to 620 families for emergency, short term needs such as electricity, rent, mortgage and heat.

food
to nearly 1300 families. The Share Food Pantry stocks meats, bread, canned goods, soap and other disposables. Share also provided 478 food baskets during the Thanksgiving and Christimas season, and tens of turkey dinners for shut-ins.

clothing items
over 42,000 clothing items for nearly 3800 families. The Share Clothing Barn stocks thousands of good condition gaminients and footwear.

Christmas gifts
over 4500 wrapped Christmas gifts.

Donate
Any contribution is welcome. Ask your emnployer or professional organization to match your contribution.

Contribute food
Bring food, paper products and cleaning supplies to one of tine participating churches or to the collection bins at the Market Basket and Shaw's in Milford.

help prepare holiday food baskets and Christmas gifts.

Donate clothing
Bring seasonal clothing in good condition to the Clothing Barn at St. Patrick church grounds.

Tell a friend how easy it is to make a difference for local people in need.
