The Smart Way to Stretch Your Food Dollar..

A nationwide neighborhood-based community service building (through volunteering) and self help food distribution program. It is not government funded nor is it a poverty program.

Community Centers, Churches, Granges, and other volunteer groups serve as neighborhood Host Sites which register participants, distribute food and assist in coordination of community services when necessary.

Pay $15 (Vegetarian), $14 (Regular), $8 (Mini) and/or $7 (Meat only) in cash or food stamps for each food package (worth at least TWICE what you pay). Purchase any number/combination of packages you choose. There is a$0.25 surcharge per package. There is no surcharge for Meat only Packages

Volunteer 2 hours for each food package purchased.

There is no extra volunteer time required for the meat only package.

Community service is defined as.- Anything you or a family member does for someone else, outside your immediate family for which you do not get paid.

Need a way to serve your community ? You decide how to SHARE your time and talents

You may Volunteer, for example:

at schools

at churches

at the Library

for the Recl Cross

help a sick neighbor

visit with the elderly

Bagging at the SHARE warehouse

Helping at the Host Site on D-Day

Delivering food packages

Baking for a Bake Sale

work on a community project

help with recycling programs

being a scout leader

being a fire fighter

making clothes for homeless people

on Civic Committees

at alter school programs:

(sports, recreational and academic)
