We have started a Service Project where each Lioness adopts a
resident of the Pillsbury Home for their Secret Pal. We remember
the resident on their Birthday and other special day
like Valentine's, Easter with cards and small gifts. Charter member
Cele Steele is the coordinator of this project. We are also hosting
a St. Patrick's Day gathering at Pillsbury Home for a sing along and
ice cream sundaes.
The Lioness our still working on our 25th Anniversary Celebration.
We had a very successful year and we were able to make the following contributions:
New Hampshire Sight and Hearing Foundation, FISH, Pillsbury Home, High
Hopes, Marguerite's Place, Juvenile Diabetes, American Cancer Society,
NH Breast Cancer Coalition, Nashua Center for the Multiply
Handicapped, The True Family (Elizabeth).
We awarded three $500.00 scholarships to graduating Seniors. We also
gave donations to the Milford School Mock Trial and the Milford
Elementary Reading Program.
We continued the Art Student of the month in honor of former Lioness
Jeane Reed.
The Lioness continue to participate in the Red Cross Blood Drive and
hold Bingo at the Harborside Nursing Home, Santa on the Oval and the
Lions Senior Dinner
