Biographical

The Milford Lioness Club was chartered on March 29, 1980 . Our sponsoring Lions Club is the Milford Lions Club. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Hampshire Hills Sport and Fitness Club at  6:00 PM. The Board of Directors meeting is held on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the home of Millie Barret in Milford.

We currently have 19 members and are very active within our community. Anyone interested in joining our ranks , please email us

Minutes

We have started a Service Project where each Lioness adopts a resident of the Pillsbury Home for their Secret Pal.  We remember the resident on their Birthday and other special day like Valentine's, Easter with cards and small gifts. Charter member Cele Steele is the coordinator of this project.  We are also hosting a St. Patrick's Day gathering at Pillsbury Home for a sing along and ice cream sundaes.
 
The Lioness our still working on our 25th Anniversary Celebration. 

We had a very successful year and we were able to make the following contributions:

 
New Hampshire Sight and Hearing Foundation, FISH, Pillsbury Home, High Hopes, Marguerite's Place, Juvenile Diabetes, American Cancer Society, NH Breast Cancer Coalition, Nashua Center for the Multiply Handicapped, The True Family (Elizabeth).
 
We awarded three $500.00 scholarships to graduating Seniors.  We also gave donations to the Milford School Mock Trial and the Milford Elementary Reading Program.
We continued the Art Student of the month in honor of former Lioness Jeane Reed.
 
The Lioness continue to participate in the Red Cross Blood Drive and hold Bingo at the Harborside Nursing Home, Santa on the Oval and the Lions Senior Dinner
